There is a shimmering beauty to this table lamp made from recycled spectacle lenses, which combines well with the glamorous mirrored sofa. A hand painted wooden screen adds to the sense of beautiful delicacy; and the olive tones of this recycled cotton fabric by Romo work very well with the orange velvet of the sofa.
The expressive brushwork on this excellent wallpaper by Neisha Crosland is a good starting point for a scheme - it informs a colour palette of paints, as well as making excellent friends with this playful and painterly console table by Faye Toogood. Cross-hatched forms provide an excellent joining motif in this scheme, from the 'Thatch Bow' pattern on the cushion, to the interlinked wooden forms of the floor lamp and puzzle. An element of contrast is often important to completing a scheme, however, in this case the folding, swirling shapes of both the bench and the rug design offer some relief from all the geometrics.
